It is intimated that since 1949, 7th December is observed as Armed Forces Flag Day throughout India. It is an important occasion when the entire Nation expresses its gratitude to the soldiers of Indian Armed Forces who have made solemn sacrifice not only in peace and war but also during natural calamities and internal exigencies leaving behind their widows and children.
It is proposed to garner financial support for them.
You too can Help!
You Too Can Help. Indian Government measures at the Centre and the State level alone are inadequate to provide support to the disabled, non-pensioner, old and infirm ESM, their families, war widows and orphaned children. It therefore becomes the collective responsibility of each citizen
specially those living abroad to make his/her unstinted and voluntary contribution towards providing care, support, rehabilitation and financial help to them. You too can contribute to the Armed Forces Flag Day Fund by any of the following means:-
a. By cheque/demand draft drawn in favour of Armed Forces Flag Day Fund.
b. Online through RTGS. Bank details are as under:-
i. Account Name - Armed Forces Flag Day Fund.
ii. Name of Bank - Punjab National Bank.
